Now I Know positive message stories have been created to take your neurodivergent son or daughter on a wonderful journey, introducing him or her to unique characters and interesting situations — where “the end” is just the beginning of their opportunities to learn and grow!
Each story is written by John Sprecher. John is the founder of Now I Know (previously Special Kids) and father of Jeff, an adult on the Autism Spectrum diagnosed at three years old. John has won more than 1,000 awards for his work in branding, marketing, advertising, public relation, digital content, video and other communications. He’s authored more than 50 long-format personality and lifestyle articles, served as editor of a travel magazine and holds a BA in English and MA in Creative Writing from the University of Wisconsin (Milwaukee).
John has been honored with a Media Excellence Award from national autism groups, a picture book named “Best Children’s Book with a Message,” an Angel Award for rebranding Autism United (previously ASSEW) and a 4,000 word lifestyle article on families with Spectrum kids. His work for neurodivergent audiences has been featured nationally, in local print news and local television news.
