For places and situations where video modeling and programming simply aren’t practical, Now I Know has created the first of many Point of Use Guides we’ll undertake to assist your Autism Spectrum person to the successful completion of a task.
Our Point of Use Guides follow the same principles as our highly effective Video Modeling Programming — meaning information and instruction is delivered in a number of ways, giving the Spectrum child, teen or adult the opportunity to acquire this input in ways that best suit their learning strengths.
These include:
- Custom Illustrated Cues
- Written (Text) Cues
- Numeric Cues
- Verbal Cues (Provided by Parent or Caregiver)
Currently, our library offers a 40-step Now I Know “How to Shower” Guide. More guides are planned, and we welcome your suggestions here. Like all Now I Know products, Point of Use Guides are offered free or by generation donation as digital download.
